THE FUTURE OF FOOD IN NSW: SPECIAL PRESENTATION

As part of the 2010 Sydney International Food Festival, the SFFA is hosting a Q&A style forum about our food system. Moderated by Good Food Guide editor Simon Thomsen, the panel will include speakers from a large food retailer, a local social food enterprise, an organic food advocate, an environmental peak body and a Sydney farm.

Consumers and producers alike are invited prepare and ask questions of the panel that explore the costs and benefits of our current food system for both people and the environment, and the value of alternative models of production and distribution.

As part of the Sydney International Food Festival, the SSFA invites you to a Q&A style forum about the innovative ways people are providing for themselves. Moderated by Simon Thomsen, co-editor of the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide, the panel will include, amongst others, the Reverend Bill Crews from the Exodus Foundation; Ronnie Khan from Oz Harvest; and Simon Gregory from Food for Life.

The audience is encouraged to prepare and ask challenging questions about how to best work with communities to foster access to enough, healthy food for all Sydneysiders.
